冬至，一个小小的节日，却蕴含着深厚的情感与温暖的记忆。在这个特别的日子里，我总是会想起我和我的冬至传统。

小时候，每当冬至来临，我们家就要开始准备丰盛的晚餐。妈妈会特意做一桌热气腾腾的大餐，有肥肠熏菜、蒸饺、糖葫芦，还有最让我期待的大枣红豆汤。每次闻到大枣红豆汤那股浓郁甜香时，我都觉得这个冬至已经不那么冷了。

午后，我们会围坐在一起，看电视剧或者听故事。我最喜欢听老爸讲关于古代帝王和将领的英雄事迹，他的声音低沉而充满力量，让我仿佛置身于那些历史巨人间。

到了夜晚，整个家里灯火通明，窗外雪花飘落，但我们却没有去看，因为我们知道这才是真正重要的一刻——坐下来，一边品尝着美食，一边聊天分享彼此的心事。我记得有一次，我告诉大家我最近在学校遇到的困难，他们都给了我鼓励和支持，那是我心中最温暖的事情之一。

现在，每当冬至来临，我都会回想起这些美好的时光。我也试图为自己的孩子创造同样的记忆。尽管生活节奏加快了，但是我坚持下午放假，让他们能有时间享受这个节日。而且，在忙碌之余，也尽量陪伴他们一起过好这一天，无论是在室内还是室外，都要让他们感受到家的温暖和爱。

winter solstice, a small festival, but with deep emotions and warm memories. On this special day, I always think of my winter solstice traditions.

In childhood, whenever the winter solstice arrived, our family would start preparing a sumptuous dinner. Mother would specially make a table full of hot dishes such as braised meat with mustard greens, steamed dumplings, candied haws on sticks, and most eagerly anticipated by me was the big date red bean soup. Every time I smell the sweet aroma of big date red bean soup, I feel that this winter is no longer so cold.

Afternoon we gather together to watch TV or listen to stories. My favorite is when my dad tells me about heroic deeds in ancient times - his voice is low-pitched and powerful; it feels like I'm among those historical giants.

At nightfall, the whole house is brightly lit up outside snowflakes fall but we don't go out because we know this is what's truly important - sitting down to enjoy food while chatting and sharing each other's thoughts. I remember one time when I told everyone about my difficulties at school; they all gave me encouragement and support which was one of the warmest things in my heart.

Now every time the winter solstice arrives i recall these beautiful moments. And also try to create similar memories for my children too. Despite life getting busier i still insist on an afternoon off for them so they can enjoy this festival whether indoors or outdoors let them feel warmth & love from home
